Overview of accessibility

Description of the building

The lecture rooms T building, which has two above-ground floors, is part of the large campus in Troja. The complex consists of five buildings, which, in addition to the departments of the physics section, house two branches of the faculty library and the Language Education Office.

Accessibility and transportation

Public transportation

The bus stop Kuchyňka (bus 201) is located approximately 250 m from the building. The bus runs to the Nádraží Holešovice stop, where it is possible to take the metro (line C). For more information, see www.dpp.cz.

Parking

A large parking area without reserved spaces is available at the rear entrance to building.

Entrance

The surface of the access road from V Holešovičkách Street, where the public transportation stop is located, is made of asphalt with a long longitudinal slope (6%-12.5%).

At the main entrance to the building from the west side (door width 100 cm), there is a staircase (9 steps up). Barrier-free access to the building is possible at the rear entrance through the atrium where there is a single ramp (gradient 12.5%-15%, width 114 cm, length 556 cm) without a handle, which compensates for a short staircase (5 steps up) to the atrium. The access pavement to the rear entrance is asphalt with slight irregularities. The atrium surface is made of flat large-format tiling. The rear entrance door is single-panel (width 100 cm) and opens outwards. After the entrance, there is the main entrance hall with a central reception area (desk height 75 cm).

Interior

On the 1st above-ground floor (at the level of the main and rear entrance), there is a library (door width 80 cm, counter height 75 cm), two lecture rooms, a modified toilet, and a snack bar (door width 2x 77 cm).

The floors of the building are connected by a pair of lifts in the adjacent building A, which is connected to building T by passages on the 1st and 2nd above-ground floors. The manoeuvring space in the interior is sufficient. The doors of classrooms, offices, and other passages have a minimum width of 80 cm.

Lift

A pair of lifts (automatically opening door width 89 cm, cabin width 150 cm, depth 150 cm) is located next to the central staircase in the adjacent building A. The manoeuvring space in front of the lifts is sufficient. The cabins with pull-down seats are equipped with a handle (height 92 cm) and a mirror on the front wall. The controls at the entrances have a maximum height of 136 cm. The maximum height of the controls inside the cabin is 122 cm.

Sanitary facilities

There is one modified toilet in the building located on the 1st above-ground floor near the Great Lecture Room. An insufficiently dimensioned stall (door width 81 cm, stall width 170 cm, depth 129 cm) with a hallway (door width 83 cm, hallway width 216 cm, depth 178 cm) is part of the women’s toilet facility. The single-panel toilet door is marked and opens mechanically outwards. Access to the toilet when looking from the entrance into the stall is on the left. The space for a wheelchair next to the toilet is sufficient (width 88 cm). The toilet is equipped with one pull-down and one fixed handle.
