Overview of accessibility

Description of the building

Building V – development workshops, which has two above-ground and two underground floors, is part of the extensive campus in Troja. The complex consists of five buildings, which, in addition to the departments of the physics section, house two branches of the faculty library and the Language Education Office.

Accessibility and transportation

Public transportation

The bus stop Kuchyňka (bus 201) is located approximately 250 m from the building. The bus runs to the Nádraží Holešovice stop, where it is possible to take the metro (line C). For more information, see www.dpp.cz.

Parking

A large parking area without reserved spaces is available at the rear entrance to building T.

Entrance

The surface of the access road from V Holešovičkách Street, where the public transportation stop is located, is made of asphalt with a long longitudinal slope (6%-12.5%).

At the main entrance to the building from the west side (door width 100 cm), there is a staircase (8 steps up). Access to the building is possible through the adjacent building L through its side entrance (door width 2x 70 cm) with a ramp (gradient 13%, width 271 cm, length 168 cm), which is located between the atrium and a park with a pool.

The connecting passage at the level of the 1st underground floor leads to a lift with doors on both sides between buildings V and L. This further connects the basement with the 1st above-ground floor (level of the main entrance) where there is an entrance hall with a reception area.

Interior

On the 1st underground and 1st above-ground floor, there are development workshops (door width 2x 75 cm or 80 cm). The 2nd above-ground floor is reserved for the Department of Language Education and the Department of Low Temperature Physics (door width 80 cm). In the 2nd basement floor, there are only technical rooms. The manoeuvring space in the interior is sufficient.

Lift

A lift with doors on both sides (automatically opening doors width 110 cm, cabin width 137 cm, depth 155 cm) connects the 2nd underground floor to the 2nd above-ground floor. The manoeuvring space in front of the lift is sufficient. There is no pull-down seat, mirror, or handrail in the lift. The controls at the entrances have a maximum height of 104 cm. The maximum height of the controls inside the cabin is 113 cm.

Sanitary facilities

There are no accessible or partially accessible toilets in the building. Standard toilets are available on all floors.
