Centrum Carolina is one of the departments of the CU Point. Our services are offered to all students who find themselves in a situation where they need help during their studies. Our primary purpose is to provide support to individuals with a health disability or social disadvantage, as well as people who experience sexual or other kinds of harassment. However, our team can be approached by anybody who faces any kind of obstacle during their course of study.

A coordination centre of services for students with any kind of disadvantage has been a part of the Charles University since 1996, called Centrum Carolina (the Carolina Centre) since 2018. The goal of the centre is to ensure an equal support for students from all 17 faculties. We adapt flexibly to news and changes in the field – be it new technologies or services. We appreciate any feedback from students!

The activities of the Centre are focused on the following areas:

• support for students and applicants with special needs

• support for students and applicants who are disadvantaged socially and economically (e.g. students with a low income or with young children)

• provision of advisory services (for all CU students)

• support for the activities of student societies
