Overview of accessibility

Description of the building

The historic building has four storeys and houses the Psychology Department.

Public transportation

The tram stop Myslíkova (tram 5) and the tram stop Jiráskovo náměstí (trams 5 and 17) are located near the building. The Myslíkova tram stop is approximately 210 m from the building, and the Jiráskovo náměstí is approximately 250 m from the building. More information is available at www.dpp.cz.

Parking

Reserved parking spaces are not available for this building.

Entrance

The surface of the access pavement is made up of level mosaic tiles that transition to coarser stone paving with a transverse gradient (max. 5%) at the entrance area.

A massive double entrance door (width 2x 110 cm) with a sloping stone threshold (gradient 36%, length 15 cm) and a doorbell (height 118 cm) opens mechanically towards the inside of the building’s entranceway. On the right of the entranceway, there is a short staircase (5 steps up) leading to the elevated ground floor. It is accessed by a self-service sloping platform (load capacity 225 kg; traffic area width 89 cm, depth 126 cm). The manoeuvring areas on the lower and upper stair landings are sufficient.

Interior

The 1st above-ground floor (elevated ground floor) of the school building contains the reception area (desk height 115 cm) and the entrance to lecture room M006 (door width 2x 77 cm) with partial tiering. There are reserved spaces in the first lower row.

A lift at the end of the main hallway connects the elevated ground floor to all other floors containing other classrooms and study rooms. The manoeuvring area in the interior of the entire building is sufficient. The other doors and passageways are at least 80 cm wide.

A student club is located in the non-barrier-free basement (17 steps down).

Lift

The lift (automatic door 80 cm wide; cage width 87 cm – narrowed by the handrail to 82 cm, depth 119 cm) with an inadequate width connects the elevated ground floor to the 5th above-ground floor. The manoeuvring area in front of the lift is sufficient. The lift cage with a pull-down seat is also equipped with a handrail (height 93 cm) on the front and side wall and a mirror on the front wall. The lift controls at the entrance points are a maximum height of 117 cm. The maximum height of the controls on the inside of the lift cage is 114 cm.

Sanitary facilities

There are two modified toilets in the building.

A partially accessible toilet (door width 80 cm; stall width 160 cm, depth 140 cm) on the 4th above-ground floor is a part of the sanitary facilities (door width 80 cm; entrance area width 205 cm, depth 165 cm). The single door of the combined stall is labelled and opens mechanically towards the outside. Access to the toilet when looking from the entrance into the stall is on the right. The space for a wheelchair next to the toilet is sufficient (width 84 cm). The toilet is equipped with one pull-down handle and one fixed handle.

A smaller, also partially accessible, toilet (door width 80 cm; stall width 143 cm, depth 140 cm) on the 2nd above-ground floor is also a part of the sanitary facilities (door width 83 cm; entrance area width 188 cm, depth 246 cm). The single door of the combined stall is labelled and opens mechanically towards the outside. Access to the toilet when looking from the entrance into the stall is on the right. The space for a wheelchair next to the toilet is narrower (width 73 cm). The toilet is equipped with one pull-down handle and one fixed handle.
