How It Helps You

Are you finishing your bachelor's or master's thesis and worried about your defense? Come to the Carolina Centre for a mock defense! We'll help you prepare for the actual defense through individual support and tips on how to get through everything without worry.

Who Is It For?

This service is primarily for students with special needs. However, if the advertised dates don't reach full capacity, the service can be used by all CU students.

How Does the Mock Defense Work?

• Presentation Preparation: You'll prepare a presentation for your bachelor's or master's thesis, for one of the announced mock defense dates.

• The Mock Defense: On your chosen date, you and other students will come to the Carolina Centre.

  • Presentation: You'll present your thesis topic under simulated conditions of an actual defense. We'll time your presentation to ensure you can fit within the time limit set by your faculty.

• Feedback: At the end, we'll give you individual feedback. Unlike an actual committee, we won't focus on the content of your presentation. Instead, we'll provide recommendations for improving your presentation and practical tips for reducing stress so you can do your best in the actual defense.

When Is the Next Date?

Dates are announced periodically throughout the year, based on the academic year schedules of the Charles University faculties. We will always email you in advance when new deadlines are announced.
