Overview of accessibility

Description of the building

The Department of Physical Education (joint workplace of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine HK) is located in a two-storey building with an adjacent sports complex.

Accessibility and transportation

Public transportation

The Úprkova bus stop is located approximately 270 metres from the building, and the trolleybus stop Na Kotli is located another 130 metres away. For more information, see www.dpmhk.cz.

Parking

A parking area without reserved parking spaces is available at the rear entrance of the complex.

Entrance

The surface of the access road from Zámostí Street is made of asphalt with a slight longitudinal slope (max. 4%). A pavement with a concrete surface turns to the main entrance.

The main entrance to the building is non-barrier-free (3 steps up). The single-panel entrance door (width 83 cm) without a doorbell opens mechanically outwards. The rear entrance, which leads from the parking area through a single-panel gate (width 99 cm) to the sports complex, allows partial access to language classroom no. S306 (door width 80 cm) on the ground floor of the rear wing of the building. However, there is one step up (height 3-4 cm) on the access pavement and one step up (height 7 cm) at the entrance to the classroom.

The sports areas are accessible from the pavement without any increase in height.

Interior

On the 1st above-ground floor of the main wing of the building, there is a gym on the left behind the entrance (door width 80 cm, threshold height 2 cm). The records office is on the right (door width 2x 70 cm). The next floor with language classrooms and offices is accessible only by a two-sided staircase.

Access to the rear wing from the main section of the building is again possible only by a short staircase (3 steps down). The outdoor staircase also leads to the 2nd above-ground floor with cloakrooms and a gym (1 step up, door width 80 cm).

The manoeuvring space in the interior is sufficient. The doors of the classrooms, offices, and other passages, with the exception of the records office, have a minimum width of 80 cm.

Lift

A lift is not available.

Sanitary facilities

The building only has standard toilets, which are located on the 2nd above-ground floor of the main wing and on the ground floor on both sides of the staircase of the building’s rear wing.
