User Description of the Premises

The Jinonice campus of FSV is composed of three buildings: the five-storey Building A with the main entrance, library, study rooms, Language Training Centre, Centre for Scientific Information, and a café; the four-storey Building B, primarily containing teaching spaces; and the seven-storey Building C, which houses a second entrance, lecture halls, seminar rooms, administrative offices, and a Student Support Centre for Students with Specific Needs.

Entrance

The campus is located above the streets Radlická and V Zářezu, where there is a metro station and bus stops that are not barrier-free. A three-flight staircase (+17, +18, +18 steps) leads to the main entrance. An alternative, longer route (approx. 350 m) ascends to the campus from the southeast side via an asphalt path with a significant longitudinal slope (6–12%).

The area in front of the main entrance (Building A) is level and free of surface defects. Next to the revolving door, there are double-leaf doors (main leaf width 80 cm, side leaf width 83 cm) that open manually outward. To the left of the entrance is a doorbell with intercom (height 119 cm) and a chip card reader (height 117 cm).

The entrance hall features a café (counter height 91 cm) and a central reception desk (counter height 110 cm). Access to other areas – such as the library and interior spaces of Building A – is restricted by turnstiles with a gate.

The second entrance is part of Building C. Next to the revolving door, there is a single-leaf door (width 98 cm) that opens manually outward. To the left of the entrance is a doorbell with intercom (height 115 cm) and a chip card reader (height 95 cm). Beyond the entrance, there are turnstiles with a gate (width 85 cm). External connections between entrances are through a passageway in Building C.

Interior

Buildings A, B, and C are internally connected at the 1st above-ground floor level by walkways. The walkway between Buildings B and C has a longitudinal slope (7%). Another barrier-free horizontal connection of all buildings is available at the 3rd above-ground floor, also with a sloped walkway (5%).

The connection at the 2nd above-ground floor between Buildings B and C is not barrier-free. On the B side, there is a significantly sloped segment (10% incline), and on the C side, there are three steps.

Vertical connections within each building are provided by elevators (see Elevators section).

Building A

Building A houses the library (2nd to 4th floors), the Language Training Centre (2nd floor), and the Centre for Scientific Information (3rd and 4th floors).

The library entrance features double-leaf doors that open automatically sideways. Behind the turnstiles (gate width 89 cm) is a service counter (height 78 cm and 110 cm).

On the 1st floor, within a restricted access area, there are night study rooms. This area also includes an accessible toilet cabin (see Hygienic Facilities).

A passenger elevator (see Elevators) connects the 1st floor with the upper floors.

Each floor has book collections, group study rooms, and large study areas. Study tables offer knee space (clearance height 72 cm).

There is sufficient maneuvering space throughout the building; all doors and short passageways are at least 80 cm wide.

Building B

On the 1st floor of Building B, which is on the same level as the entrance and Building A, there are two tiered lecture halls (B103A and B103B).

There is no designated wheelchair space, but limited space in the lower part of the hall (in front of the podium) can be used. The podium itself is elevated (+2 steps).

A pair of passenger elevators (see Elevators) connect the 1st to 3rd floors.

The main corridors on the 2nd and 3rd floors are lined with seminar rooms and offices.

There is sufficient maneuvering space, and all doors and short passageways are at least 80 cm wide.

Building C

On the 1st floor of Building C, which has its own entrance and is also connected to Buildings A and B by a passage (see Entrance), there are three tiered lecture halls (C117, C122, and C123).

There is again no designated wheelchair space; only limited space at the front near the podium is usable.

The side aisle in these halls is sloped (6%) rather than stepped. The entrance to lecture hall C117 consists of double-leaf doors with narrowed main leaves (each 74 cm wide).

Two passenger elevators (see Elevators) connect the 1st to the 6th floors.

Seminar rooms and offices are located along the main corridors on the 2nd to 6th floors.

Maneuvering space within the rooms is sufficient, but space in front of the entrances from narrow corridors (minimum width 110 cm) is limited. All doors and passageways are at least 80 cm wide.

Elevators

Building A

  • Passenger elevator (automatic doors width 90 cm; cabin width 122 cm, depth 210 cm) connects the basement to the 1st floor.

Cabin includes a side handrail (height 94 cm), mirrors (bottom edge at 5 cm) on the front and side walls, and a folding seat.

Control panels are at a maximum height of 103 cm outside and 101 cm inside the cabin.

  • Another passenger elevator (automatic doors width 90 cm; cabin width 112 cm, depth 209 cm) connects the basement to the 4th floor (library).

Similar equipment with a handrail (92 cm), mirror (5 cm height), and folding seat. Controls are at a maximum height of 103 cm outside and 114 cm inside.

Building B

  • Two mirrored passenger elevators (automatic doors width 90 cm; cabin width 119 cm, depth 150 cm) connect the basement to the 3rd floor.

Cabins are equipped with handrails (92 cm), mirrors (5 cm height), and folding seats. Controls are up to 104 cm outside and 110 cm inside.

Building C

  • Larger elevator (automatic doors width 80 cm; cabin width 110 cm, depth 180 cm) connects the 1st to 6th floors.

  • Smaller elevator (automatic doors width 80 cm; cabin width 105 cm, depth 125 cm) connects the basement to the 6th floor.

Both have handrails (94 cm), mirrors (5 cm height), and folding seats.

Control panels are at a maximum height of 102–120 cm.

Hygienic Facilities

There are 11 accessible toilet cabins across the buildings.

Building A

  • Opposite the main reception: Accessible toilet cabin (door width 84 cm; cabin width 181 cm, depth 215 cm).

  • In the 1st floor library section: Accessible toilet (door width 90 cm; width 185 cm, depth 267 cm).

  • On the 2nd–4th floors of the library: Identical accessible toilet cabins (door width 90 cm; width 182 cm, depth 215 cm) near the central stairway. Access to the toilet is either from the left or right side, depending on the cabin.

Building B

  • On the 1st floor: Partially accessible toilet cabin (door width 90 cm; cabin width 156 cm reduced to 145 cm by a heating element, depth 201 cm).

Building C

  • On the 2nd–5th floors (west wing): Identical accessible cabins (door width 80 cm; cabin width 160 cm, depth 164 cm).

  • On the 6th floor, near the Student Support Centre for Students with Specific Needs: Larger accessible cabin (door width 80 cm; cabin width 196 cm, depth 172 cm), rotated by 90° compared to lower floors.

All accessible toilets have a combination of one folding and one fixed handrail and provide sufficient side space for a wheelchair.

Parking

There are five designated accessible parking spaces available in the parking area in front of the main entrance.

Two additional accessible parking spaces are located in the underground garage (1st basement floor), accessible by elevator.

Parking in the garage must be arranged in advance.
